Once in a while, I have a different imatiothiki session. One that involves people making and effort and is focused on the actions rather than the people. I was extremely happy to hear that the National Opera’s Ballet would let me shoot their rehearsals for Romeo and Juliet. On a large building in Kalithea, all the dancers practice five days a week, six hours a day and you can do nothing but admire their strength, physical and mental and fall completely in love with dancing.
You can find information about Romeo and Juliet by Renato Zanella and Sergei Prokofiev here.
I would like to thank John Mass for lending me his camera and lenses. Without his help this session wouldn’t even exist. I would also like to thank Vassilis and Io from the National Opera for their trust and help. Lastly, a huge thank you to all the dancers who let me shoot them and put up with my moving around and clicking noise all day long.
